Garage sale for village hall

THE residents of Stapleton village will be holding the annual garage sale in aid of the Village Hall this Saturday.

The event, that has been going on for more than 10 years, aims to fund the Village Hall, allowing the village residents to use it as a recreation and leisure centre, and carry on activities such as table-tennis, selfdefence and ‘keep fit’ classes as well as ceremonies and weddings.

The event will run from 10am until 1pm and homemade cakes and refreshments will be served throughout the morning.

There will also be a tombola.

Chris Moore, event organiser, said: “It’s usually a very good event. You get some bargains and it’s good for us to get together as well.”

Twenty Stapleton residents are expected to sell items on seven different tables.
