Tip was too full for a microwave

ON September 4, I took a microwave oven to Barwell tip. I had checked online to see that it was open and that it took electrical items.

When I arrived there I was told that they weren’t taking in electrical items today as it was full and was directed to a tip at Coalville. This resulted in a 40 mile round trip to dispose of a microwave and an hour and half in time. Then I read in the Borough Bulletin of the problem of ‘white goods’ being dumped illegally.

How can a huge tip like Barwell not have room for a microwave oven? Rita Wilson
