Emphatic win in pairs tournament
A dominant performance by Sally-Ann Lewis-Wall and Helen Lewis-Wall saw them comfortably win the second G Seller Pairs tournament at Kingscroft Bowling Club, Earl Shilton.
The pair finished 44 shots up over their five games to claim the trophy and £200 first prize money presented by David Barsby, head of the Hinckley funeral directors and monumental masons who are the club’s main sponsors.
Eighteen duos entered the competition which was run on an aggregated shots up or down over the day.
Ted Astill and Billy Green were runners-up, just ahead of international player Jamie-Lea Winch and England triallist Joe Dawson, both from the more competitive first group.
Tom Clancy and Darren Delahay in fourth place along with father and son John and Steve York (fifth) made up those who received prize money. Other bowls results: Kingscroft beat Fosseway (away) by one shot.
