Clumber Park to host food festival
CLUMBER Park Festival of Food and Drink will be returning this year on September 16 and 17.
To celebrate the Nottinghamshire festival’s fifth anniversary, celebrity chefs Phil Vickery and Rosemary Shrager will be making a special appearance alongside finalists from the last series of the BBC’s Great British Bake Off Jane Beedle and Andrew Smyth.
The festival is the biggest event of its kind in the region and it brings together delicious food and drink creators, artisan specialists, and food experts with over 150 exhibitors.
Festival organiser Bev Channel said: “We are thrilled with this year’s line-up to help us celebrate our fifth anniversary. Phil and Rosemary provide an amazing depth of knowledge and an enormous sense of fun whilst our GBBO finalists help to inspire other amateurs. It’s the perfect mix!”
It will count with a Food Marquee with locally produced bread and cheeses, a Cookery Theatre with live demonstrations from the celebrity chefs throughout the day and a ‘Beautiful Things’ marquee dedicated to art, handcrafted jewelry, homeware, and gifts.
Children will be able to learn new baking skills with The School of Artisan Food, make sand art and pottery, jump around on trampolines and more.
The event will also count with live music from X-factor stars as well as local musicians to complement the Pop-Up cafes and Street Food traders. Event Director Bev Channell said: “Since we launched the first Festival of Food and Drink back in 2013, we’ve seen lots more food events enter the marketplace but we have maintained the high standards we set out from the start, attracting the UK’s best chefs and creating a true festival vibe. Each year, we go from strength to strength, proving popular with visi- tors who come back year after year and have helped us establish a strong reputation in the market.
“We’re thrilled to have two of our most popular guests Phil Vickery and Rosemary Shrager back with us for our fifth birthday along with Great British Bake Off finalists Andrew Smyth and Jane Beedle – so at least we’re guaranteed a fantastic birthday cake”
Ticket prices start from just £7 in advance with free entry into Clumber Park included and children aged five years and under are admitted free. Family tickets also available. For more info, visit
