Classic car show rolling back into town

-

HINCKLEY is revving up ready to host one of its most beloved events of the year as the seventh Hinckley BID Motor Show pulls into town this weekend.

The family-friendly Classic Motorshow will be held on Sunday September 24, and promises to be the biggest and best motorshow yet.

Organisers Hinckley BID are expecting hundreds of both unique and carefully-restored motor vehicles to line the streets of the town, while thousands of visitors are expected to pack Hinckley town centre from 10am until 4pm.

Families will also be able to enjoy the free children’s entertainment, including face painting and an inflatable, in Argents Mead, as well as an army fun shooting gallery.

Joining in this year, Triumph are featuring five of their super bikes, while Coventry Motor Museum will be bringing two of their special motorcar exhibits.

Steve Wegerif, from Hinckley BID, who will be based in the Market Place next to the jazz band, said that it promised to be “an event to look forward to.”

He added: “The Classic Motorshow is one of our biggest and most popular events on the calendar, and we look forward to it every single year!

“We are expecting this to be our best show yet, and hope to see hundreds of beautiful cars, tractors, bikes and other vehicles on display throughout the town.

“There will also be lots of free entertainment to keep the kids entertained, as well as a shooting gallery for adults and teens.

“Many of Hinckley’s shops, cafes and restaurants will also be opening their doors to give visitors the chance to enjoy everything that the town has to offer.”

Motor lovers will also be treated to a host of special vehicles on display, including huge Cadillacs and Chevrolets, fast Aston Martins, and Porsches and Jaguars.
