Democracy is too important to ignore

-

I WAS so pleased to learn that government ministers have written to local authorities and chief constables alike instructing them to take action to prevent election fraud and prosecute where found. But equally disappointed to find that there is a reluctance to comply with the instruction as authorities say they do not want to be accused of racism, as the vast majority of cases are in ethnic areas.

This is an excuse long past it’s sell by date and must not be allowed to interfere in the compliance with the law! The police then compound the issue by indicating that they do not like taking action where there is not cross party support, and as these cases are in Labour-controlled areas, Labour apposes action being taken; after all they are the main beneficiary.

It is ironic, in the case of the police being reluctant to do anything because one only has to say the word Tory to a chief constable and they instigate an investigation. For example Wiltshire police are STILL investigating allegations that the late Sir Edward Heath, when prime minister, abused young boys?

Anyone who becomes prime minister can never again go anywhere or meet anyone without the security services knowing. The police prefer to defame the man, and cast stigma on the Tories!

The other instance where fraud is being committed is in university students, who then go online to brag what they have done, so it is simple to identify them. The students say it is a good laugh and two fingers to the establishment.

The authorities are treating it as just a bit of online anti-social behaviour? But this is our democracy we are talking about, that can distort the outcome of a future government. It is an insult to freedom, and all concerned should be ashamed!

But the left applaud it as they advocate revolution by trying to isolate their target groups of ethnics and young people from main stream society making them vulnerable to fake news.

The Liberal Democrat Leader Sir Vince Cable keeps telling young people how my generation have “shafted” them by voting for Brexit; but hang on, this is the guy who told us we would have no future if we did not join the Euro.

In coalition government he told us the Tories would bring us mass unemployment, and hyper inflation?

How wrong could he be, and he does not mention the high unemployment rate of young people in Europe thanks to the EU policies!

The left takes exaltation at the destruction of democracy, and ruin of our country, but the real contempt is by the authorities who are letting them do it for their own agenda of a quiet life, and own political agenda, and I would make their inaction a criminal offence! Steve Vickers
