Networking anniversary

-

A BUSINESS networking group for women from Hinckley celebrated its first anniversary.

A bright pink, tiered cake was prepared by member Kate Jordin, of The Bakewell Tart, for the first birthday of Women that Connect.

The group meets monthly at Ullesthorpe Court Hotel in Lutterworth and is aimed at women business owners in Leicestershire and Warwickshire.

Clare Farrell, owner of Northfield Wealth Management, in Windor Street, Burbage, gave a presentation on pensions and the disparities between when people can take out their pension.

The network currently has 36 members and operates with an exclusive membership, so only one member per profession or industry can join.

Each event consists in a two-course lunch and drink, with each members introducing their business.

One of the members then gives a presentation, with more details about their business.

There’s a forum afterwards for members to get advice on any issues they may be facing.

Guests are welcome to attend a maximum of two meetings a year if there is no clash with a business that is already a member. The next meeting is on October 11. Anyone interested in coming along should contact Debbie of Roundabout Hinckley, on 07751 211019, or by email: debbie@roundabouthinckley.co.uk.

More information is also available on the Women that Connect website.
