Business boosting events planned

EVENTS aimed at boosting local business and enhancing entreprene­urial skills are scheduled as part of a county wide enterprise festival.

The third annual Leicester Business Festival takes place between October 23 and November 3.

Workshops and talks are taking place across the city and county including a number of sessions in Hinckley.

The festival is billed as the region’s biggest business showcase, attracting more than 12,500 attendees each year with 130 events over the two week programme.

The first date for the diary in the borough is October 25 when a two day workshop is planned at Sketchley Grange, entitled Integratin­g Social Media into Your Business. It runs from 9am to 4.30pm each day.

On Monday October 30 The Meeting Centre in Marchant Road hosts a seminar on attracting finance to your business through grant providers. It takes place from 9.30am to 11.30am.

Social media is again in the spotlight for a session at Croner House, Wheatfield Way on Tuesday October 31.

Evolving Your Business - Essential Steps to Social Media Success and Growth of the Millennial Workforce is on from 5pm to 7pm.

The timetable concludes on Wednesday November 1 at Twycross Zoo with a chance to find out how rural businesses can get funding with a view to boosting tourism. The event runs from 10.15am to 12.30pm.
