BEST bites 2017

Tell us your favourite place for food

Hinckley Times - - FRONT PAGE -

EATING out has become a popular past times in Hinckley in recent years as the foodie scene has become very strong.

For many years we have had numerous independent restaurants and cafés to be proud of in town.

And they have been joined by some national names which have arrived recently.

This week we are launching a competition called Best Bites 2017 to find the best place for food in Hinckley’s town centre.

We are asking our readers to vote for their personal favourite.

It could be a restaurant, a pub that serves food or even a cafe.

So who does the best chicken biriyani? Where would you find fabulous fish or the perfect pasta meal? And where have you had a superb Victoria sponge or salmon and cucumber sandwich?

The contest is being run with Wonderful Hinckley which is a campaign supported by The Hinckley Times, Hinckley BID and Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council.

Hinckley Times Editor Simon Holden said: “The night-time economy in Hinckley has never been better. We have so much choice if you want to go out and have something to eat.

“And while we now have some big national names at The Crescent, we also have plenty of independent places as well.

“We also have a really diverse selection of top cafes which serve up all kinds of delicious things during the day.

“So please vote and tell us what is your favourite place for food in town. All you have to do is email us your suggestion.”
