-

KEEN golfers are being invited to join snooker legend Willie Thorne for a Santa’s golf day.

Over the last few years, the Strictly Come Dancing star has played golf with over 120 golfers to raise money for Rainbows Hospice.

This year’s Santa’s Golf Day event will once again be held at the Forest Hill Golf Club, based in Botcheston, on Wednesday November 15.

It gives snooker lovers and keen golfers the chance to meet and play golf with Willie as well as raise money for an excellent cause.

Spectators are also welcome event, which starts from 9am.

The course is a full handicap Stableford competition with excellent prizes, and the entry fee includes soup, sandwiches, mince pies and mulled wine.

A spokesperson for the event said: “Players will be given a Santa Suit and must wear it to play. This adds to the fun element of the day and also to the difficulty of playing competent golf!

“This is a great day of fun, Willie is a keen golfer and is looking forward to meeting all the players.

“Please make a special effort to make up a team of four and join in the fun and, importantly, to also help Rainbows.”

Willie will also be running a hilarious charity auction, with all money raised going to Rainbows.

Entry forms can be obtained from David Hollins on 0116 2290495, or by calling 07930 200213 or emailing david.hollins3@ ntlworld.com. at the
