Have your say on village plan
A DRAFT document which will help residents have more say on future development is out for consultation.
The Burbage Neighbourhood Development Plan is available to read and make comment upon.
Locals, along with people who work or conduct business in the area have until November 20 to air their views.
Opinions will be taken into account before the plan progresses further and is sent into Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council for approval.
A spokesman said: “The plan represents months of investigation, research and opinion-gathering in which volunteer teams - with some professional help - sought to establish the optimum future shape and development of the parish.
“Their work started in 2015 and topics addressed have ranged from housing development to heritage, transport and highways to employment and commerce issues. Arriving at a wish-list for the parish involved countless consultations, to ensure the draft plan embraces the community’s right to engage in neighbourhood planning.”
All the documents can be viewed online at http:// plan4burbage.co.uk and there is also an online presubmission comments form.
A paper copy is availa- ble to view at the Burbage Parish Council Office at Millennium Hall, Britannia Road, Burbage, which is open Monday to Friday, between 9am and noon.
A pre-submission comments form will be available for public responses as a paper copy which can be collected from the parish office.
Completed comments forms can be posted in a drop-off box at the parish office, or electronic forms emailed to neighbourhoodplanning@ruralcc.org.uk
Alternatively, post response forms to John Preston, Neighbourhood Planning Officer, Rural Community Council (Leicestershire & Rutland), Community House, 133 Loughborough Road, Leicester, LE4 5LQ.
