Christmas fair is coming to two cities

-

ANYONE wanting to get into the festive spirit can look forward to Christmas markets taking place across the East Midlands.

Leicester is holding its first ever Festive Fair where stall holders from across the region will be pitching up from Thursday November 23 until Saturday December 23.

For the first ever fair, market manager Paul Edwards said he wanted to fill the city’s new Market Square with everything from “Christmas gift ideas and homemade crafts, to mulled wine and hot potatoes”.

Hoping it will become one of the city’s seasonal highlights, he added: “The brand new square is a great location for our Festive Fair and we’ll be creating the perfect Christmas atmosphere for traders and shoppers with individual wooden chalets and plenty of fairy lights.”

Trading times will be from 11am until 7pm from Monday to Wednesday; 11am until 8pm from Thursday to Saturday; and from 11am until 5pm on Sundays.

In Nottingham there will be more than 50 attractive Victorian style cabins selling a wide range of quality crafts, gifts and food.

Visitors can also enjoy a stunning Ice Rink, Christmas market trader cabins, two themed winter bars, a bandstand, rides, timber decked walkways, nativity scene, 100s of real Christmas trees, snow dressing and more.
