More flats for central Hinckley

-

DEVELOPERS want to turn more disused office space in Hinckley town centre into apartments.

Another bid is being made for the transformation of property on Station Road, two months after a planning application focusing on the top floor of the nearby Hinckley Old Constitutional Club.

This also follows submissions for approval of change of use affecting properties on Rugby Road and Regent Street plus the plans to cre- ate courtyard units at the Hansom Cab shopping centre and the 27 luxury flats already earmarked for the former ballroom in St George’s Street.

The latest project comes from a Mr S Buhour of Leamington Spa wth Leicester’s KPW Architects acting as agents.

A “notification for prior approval for a proposed change of use of a building from office use to dwelling house” has been received by Hinckley and Bosworth Bor- ough Council.

According to the application the aim is to create nine self-contained residential apartments with no external changes to the building. Current parking provision will be retained.

The proposal provides for two one-bedroom flats and a studio apartment on the ground floor, two one-bedroom and a single one-bedroom flats on the first floor and one two-bedroom flat and a single one-bedroom flat on the second floor.
