Have a Scotch egg and keep in touch with reality

-

I want a boycott of scotch eggs, in protest at Scottish farmers force feeding their chickens sausage meat, to produce this product! Now, as word spreads of my call, Momentum, will take to social media to claim this is further evidence of the failure of capitalism and demand they are nationalised.

The National Union of Students will demand (and get) a ban of scotch eggs on all University campuses. The eco mentalists will blockade all chicken farms in Scotland, demanding their closure and then accuse the police of brutality, as the police try to keep access open to the farms. The Lib/Dems will run around with a petition, claiming to represent the people, and Nick Clegg will broadcast that only the EU can save us from this. John Payne and Shyfox will rant that it is all a Tory conspiracy to help the rich make more money, and finally an academic will produce a report saying scotch eggs are bad for us, and we should only eat one a year?

Now pause; is it not the case that the nonsense I have written about scotch eggs and the scenario reaction I describe in fact a reality reflection of what is going on in our world today? The left is making enormous strides on the back of fake news, because it is out of control, unregulated and void of integrity.

We have a holier than thou Lib/Dem (Hinckley Times 1/11/17) telling us he seeks to find common cause with all (except those who voted for Brexit)? Go ahead my friend, do it with ISIS, and save the world, as your party invites them to come to this country to live and make “common cause” with them, and fight for their “human rights” in denial of the risks to life in this country, as a consequence of what you advocate!

Now, if having read this, you find yourself in agreement (with me), then go and treat yourself to a scotch egg knowing you are in touch with reality Steve Vickers
