Bargains to be had at town superstore

BARGAIN hunters can take advantage of cut-price food, drink and gadgets after Lidl in Hinckley announced it would take part in Black Friday sales for the first time.

The Hawley Road store will be selling Champagne, Chardonnay, steak, mobile phones and kitchen gadgets at knocked down prices from tomorrow (THursday).

In previous years the discount retailer has not taken part in the sales tradition which has travelled across the Atlantic from America.

Ryan McDonnell, commercial director at Lidl UK, said: “We’re pleased to be taking part in our first ever Black Friday promotion.

“Providing our customers with everyday low prices is at the heart of what we do by offering a selection of highlight products at incredible prices.

“This is a highly anticipated event in the consumer calendar, especially as households turn their focus onto Christmas planning, and we know our fantastic promotion will not disappoint.”

So what can you get your hands on at the German discount chain?

With bargain buys ranging from food and drink to homewares, you’re sure to find that perfect Christmas present for someone (or treat for yourself ).

However the supermarket warns once items are sold out they are gone for good so get in early if you’re eager to bag yourself a bargain.

Also included in Lidl’s Black Friday event will be their Deluxe Hand Cooked Potato Crisps for 39p - a saving of 48 per cent.
