CAT F defeated Hit’n’Hope by six sets to four.

Eddie Kwok (Cat F) was in good form with three straight wins. Ian Nixon (H’n’H) fought hard for his two wins.

Despite the valiant efforts of Dael Sidwell and John Pearson (Cat G) both with two wins, under-strength Cat G went down to Queen’s Barwell by six sets to four. Steve Lawson (Queens) winning his three.

Cat E overcame Mkt Bosworth2 by nine sets to one.

The youngsters from Mkt Bosworth continue to improve every match but just found Cat E too strong.

League leaders GW D recorded a comfortable victory over Mkt Bosworth 1. Both Roger Hill and Callum Dale (GWD) scoring maximums, the latter including a fine win over the experienced John Veasey (Mkt B1)

Second placed George Ward C saw off their “F” team by eight sets to two.

Young reserve James Walker (GWF) filling in for the injured Dick Jenkins, had a good win over Liam Davies (GWC).

The match was nowhere near as one sided as the score suggests as no fewer than nine sets went to either four or five games.

Mkt Bosworth 1 recorded only their second win of the season against Cat E by seven sets to three.

Man of the match was John Veasey (MB1) winning his three whilst Alec Downes took two wins for Cat E. Mkt Bosworth 2 lost by 0-10 to Cat F.

Cat H succumbed to Queen’s Barwell by three sets to seven, both Alan Morris and S Lawton (Queens) collecting three wins each.

GWC continued their recent good form overpowering Cat G by eight sets to two.

Chris Thomas and Robbie Webster (both GWC) winning their three sets.

G Ward D followed up their win over Bosworth with a fine performance against their own “F” team running out winners by nine sets to one.

This victory cements their top spot with 63 points fourteen clear of second placed GWC on 49. Hill and Oliver Wynne won all their sets. Connor Harris (GWF) beating Matt Wynne for his one.

Indeed Harris can consider himself unlucky as he took Hill the leading player in the averages to five games narrowly losing 8-12 in the fifth.
