Charity calendar raises thousands

-

THE launch party for a charity lingerie calendar raised thousands of pounds in Hinckley.

Models from the calendar and stars of Take Me Out attended the festivities, along with more than a hundred others, at the former Green King Stadium on Leicester Road, raising £2,508.

The launch event and calendar were organised by Jodie Carnall from Hinckley, a model and former contestant on the TV show, in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity.

Her aunt Kay had the disease, and died in April of this year.

Jodie said: “I am so overwhelmed with everybody’s support.

“I can’t thank you all enough from the bottom of my heart, I have never meant a thank you so much in my life.”

The lively party included a burlesque dance and song set, a disco floor and DJ, along with an auction and raffle, presented by Jodie’s dad, Simon.

Jodie hopes to raise another £4,000 by selling all 500 calendars. This is the second year Jodie has made the calendar, which contains cheeky shots of herself and fellow Take Me Out girls Andrea Marshall and Hollie Bunyan, as well as reality TV contestant and star of Coach Trip, Bobby O’Singh.

Unlike the debut 2016 edition, this year’s calendar has a male model version for viewers to enjoy.

The calendars are £10 and are sponsored by around 50 groups.
