Town wedding firm is among fastest growing
A WEDDING dress retailer originally from Burbage has been named as the 18th fastest growing company in the UK.
WED2B, which now has a store in Hinckley’s The Crescent, was named in the 21st annual Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 league table, which ranks the top 100 private companies with the fastest growing sales over the past three years.
The company’s Hinckley store opened in 2016 and has helped thousands of local brides find their dream wedding dress.
The company, which was started in 2009 as the Wedding Dress Factory Outlet in the Britannia Buildings in Burbage, has grown to be the UK’s largest bridal retailer with 27 stores nationwide, from Glasgow to Brighton.
They have taken the industry by storm and revitalised the way brides shop for wedding dresses. Each of the UK-designed, limited edition dresses are available offthe-peg, so brides can take their dream dress home the same day.
Making its debut on the league table in 18th place, WED2B recorded sales of £15.1m in 2017.
Todd Cassidy, managing director with his wife Jenny, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have been named as one of the fastest growing companies in the UK.
“It shows that our proposition, which puts the needs of bridesto-be first, is paying off. Furthermore, the team have worked considerably hard, so it’s great to see their efforts being recognised by one of the most prestigious league tables for business growth.”
Jenny previously told The Hinckley Times that they were passionate about helping bridesto-be find their dream dress.
She added: “At Wed2b we believe every woman deserves to look stunning and feel special on their wedding day – regardless of budget. Since 2009 we have been offering our brides-to-be a huge range of beautiful, high quality designer bridal wear in a warm, friendly and enthusiastic environment.
“It’s an experience our customers tell us they love and one we’re proud to offer.”
