Free courses for local entrepreneurs
LOCAL business folk can take advantage of free creative courses which aim to boost online profiles.
The website design and desktop publishing courses are being held at the Hinckley campus of North Warwickshire and Hinckley College.
The training is free for small businesses in the Hinckley and Leicestershire area, as part of a scheme funded by the European Social Fund.
Harmi Kandola-Basi, employer engagement adviser at the college said: “These courses are ideal for small, local businesses who want to design their own professional materials.
“As part of the web design course, learners will be taken through the design, structure, layout and navigation of a website as well as how to take and use the perfect photograph. This course starts on Monday January 15.
“The desktop publishing course will enable learners to create professional print documents including print-ready posters, leaflets and booklets. This course starts on Monday January 22.
“Not only a great way to save costs by designing your materials in-house, these courses will enable you to develop your brand, your way.”
In order to be eligible, businesses must have 250 or fewer employees located in the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership area. Employees must be aged 19 or over, work for 16 hours per week and meet UK residency criteria.
