Bargain prices for early comers to the Colourfun Mile
ORGANISERS of this year’s Loros Colourfun Mile in Hinckley are offering early birds a discount on the entry price.
Reduced fees for entering the brightest run in Hinckley are available until the end of this week.
Families can bag a bargain with a special sign up price of £40 for a family ticket, down from the usual £50.
The family bundle includes sign-up for two under 12s and two over 12s, with the discounted price on offer until this Friday, (January 26). The annual one-mile fun run around the town centre event takes place on June 6.
This year will see the added feature of bubbles being thrown over participants as well the usual powdered paint.
People of all ages, as well as dogs, are welcome to take part in the run to raise funds for the Leicester hospice.
Each runner receives a free white t-shirt to personalise ahead of the event or to keep clean so it can be coated with colour as they make their way around the course.
Last year 1,700 people took on the challenge, raising £11,000 for the good cause.
The event included live entertaiunment and a ‘colour rave’ in Market Square at the end of the race.
The 2018 Colourfun Mile will begin at 7pm in Argents Mead.
General prices are £12 for under 12s and £15 for over 12s ahead of the event, with prices increasing by £3 each when people sign up on the day.
