Crafts as well as ranger activities at Conkers

FAMILY fun is coming up at Conkers activity centre over the February half term.

Daily crafts and ranger activities will be going on, including bushcraft, survival skills and pond dipping.

Live shows are on at the regular times of 11.30, 1.30pm and 3.30pm, including Punch and Judy on February 17 and 18, Ras King Bobo, the amazing acrobat, on February 19, Dippy’s Clown Show on February 22, and Bubble Pop bubble making fun on February 24 and 25.

Other shows are Sublime Science, featuring a mad scientist who has been on Dragon’s Den, on February 21 at 11.30am and 2pm, and Trevor Hill’s Animal Roadshow, between noon and 4pm on February 23.

There are 120 acres to explore at the Conkers centre, including a 4D cinema, indoor play, a 450-metre barefoot walk and the Conkerchoo train.

Conkers was closed during the week in January to allow for maintenanc­e work to refresh the visitor experience, with the centre re-opening fully on February 12.

Chris Sturdy, regional operations manager at Conkers, said: “We’re all looking forward to the February half-term break following our regular winter spruce-up.

“There are lots of activities and entertainm­ent galore, both inside and outside, for the whole family to enjoy.”
