WOULD your perfect job involve restoring classic vehicles like the legendary E-Type Jaguar?

If so then Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works in Ryton-on-Dunsmore is recruiting for a specialist role right now.

The operation, which opened in summer 2017, is looking for a classic vehicle technician to help bring some iconic vehicles back to life.

The £7million Classic Works facility, which opened in June 2017, painstakin­gly restores classic cars from both Jaguar and Land Rover brands and creates new versions of famous icons like the famed Lightweigh­t E-Type.

The all-new 14,000 sq m purpose-built facility saw ten countrywid­e operations spanning sales, servicing and restoratio­n - including one formerly based at Browns Lane - all housed under one roof.

The centralise­d operation, the largest of its kind anywhere in the world, saw the creation of scores of new jobs and Jaguar Land Rover said even more would be created in the longrun if demand for its services increases.

The current role up for grabs at the Classic Works facility is that of a classic vehicle technician and it pays £22.03 per hour.

The role is being filled by spe- cialist ment.

“They are currently seeking to recruiter Apex Recruit- recruit an experience­d vehicle technician to join their team.

“The role is offered on an ongoing contract basis with long term, ongoing opportunit­ies for the right candidate.

“The role will be varied and challengin­g requiring a broad base of vehicle skills mechanical, electrical, body and trim.

“The successful candidate will be involved in routine maintenanc­e, servicing, and repairs to customer vehicles.”
