See new arrivals at Twycross

-

FANS of little furries can see an array of new babies at Twycross Zoo this half term.

Three new babies have already been born at the zoo this year, including Pogo Junior the Dik-Dik antelope and two little monkeys.

The zoo is also running a series of Keeper Talks, with conservation experts explaining to families about the animals in their care.

Daily talks will cover all sorts of species, including every- thing from elephants to lemurs and Spider monkeys.

The conservation centre is the only place in the UK where you can see all four great apes in action; chimpanzees, orangutans, gorillas and bonobos.

Families can visit the Wetlands area, the Butterfly Farm, see the meerkats or the penguins, drop in on the cheetahs, or enjoy the outdoor adventure play areas.

Visitors can also get snug in the Himalaya Centre coffee shop, with its soft play area and fully licensed restaurant, which overlooks the snow leopard enclosure.

The Keeper Talks are running from February 10 to 25 and the zoo is open daily from 10am to 5pm.

Adult tickets are £19.95 and children aged two and over are priced at £14.95, with free entry for children under two and carers.

For more information, visit the Twycross Zoo website.
