Paloma Faith, Jamie Cullum andUB40join BBC line-up
THREE more big names have been announced for BBC Music’s Biggest Weekend in Coventry.
Joining Snow Patrol and Billy Ocean on Sunday May 27 will be Paloma Faith, Jamie Cullum and UB40 featuring Ali, Astro and Micky.
Two more names have been announced for the festival the following day. They are Miloš and Gogo Penguin, who will join Nigel Kennedy on Monday, May 28
The festival is being held over four days in four UK locations, with Coventry’s War Memorial park hosting acts presented by BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 3.
More than half of the tickets will be reserved for Coventry residents, and they will cost £18 plus a £4.50 booking fee. Tickets are on sale now. Paloma Faith is an English singer, songwriter, and actress.
She is known for her retro and eccentric style.
Her debut album, Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful? was released in 2009. It is certified double platinum in the UK. The album contains her first single, Stone Cold Sober. The album also contains certified singles — New York and Upside Down, both of which achieved a silver certification in the UK. The album earned Faith her first BRIT Award nomination in 2010.
Jamie Cullum is an English jazz-pop singer-songwriter. Although he is primarily a vocalist and pianist, he also accompanies himself on other instruments, including guitar and drums. Since April 2010, he has presented a weekly jazz show on BBC Radio 2.
For the other BBC Big Weekend events, additional acts were also announced for Swansea, Belfast and Perth. Over the whole weekend the likes of Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Craig David, Niall Horan, Franz Ferdinand and Noel Gallagher will hit stages across the country.
