-

SPORTING Dynamo continue to fly the flag for the League in the County Premier Cup as they reached the semi-final stage with a 2-0 win over Oadby Owls. Both of their goals coming in the 30 minutes of extra time.

In the County Premier Shield, Plough Inn Bruntingthorpe went a goal down during a shaky start against Iannis FC but they fought they way back into the game and equalised when Jack Sutherland hit a swerving shot that deceived the Iannis keeper.

They then took the lead when Jeff Woodward crossed for Kyle Sperry to convert at the far post.

Iannis started the second half looking dangerous on the break and Plough keeper Jack Anderson earned the man of the match award for a number of timely interventions and a fine save mid way through the half that saw Plough respond to dominate the last 20 minutes and to make the game safe.

It was Sperry again who confirmed the win when his low corner was deflected by the keeper to secure a semi-final spot.

FC Topps maintained their lead at the top of the Bond Street Trophies Premier Division after an end to end game against Rogue Elite.

It was Rogue who took the lead after Ben Bates had converted but Topps hit back to equalise before the break.

In the second half Topps scored two to take the advantage and although Rogue put their defence under a deal of pressure after Jordan Hemsley had pulled a goal back for them, Topps held out to maintain their 100% league record.

Scorers for Topps were Adam McNally, Pele Orton and Scott Smith. FC Bacc gained their first league win of the season at Enderby Social after both clubs had ensured their game went ahead by switching the location of the game.

Jacob Cross led the way for Bacc with a hat-trick alongside goals from Sam Estill (penalty) and Henry Piggin. For Enderby Josh Castleman and Ben Reynolds scored the consolations in their first league defeat.

In the PWS Leicester Division One, Athletico Duke took over top spot with a convincing 5-0 win at Sporting Dynamo Reserves. Kelvin Etheridge led the way with a brace alongside goals from Ben Wright, Conner Pugh and Matt Ellis.

Duke also missed a penalty and could have increased their lead but a weakened Dynamo side never gave up and battled well.

Stanton Unied also won on their travels with a 4-2 win at FC Topps giving them the three points.

They were 2-0 down at the break though after two Ben Adams goals for Topps.

Lewis Dunkley with a penalty got Stanton going in the second half before Dan Poulter and Lewis Alleston gave them the lead.

Andy Wainscott confirmed the win with a 25 yard thunderbolt that literally took half the net off.

Stoke Golding moved up the tableIn the Printing Works Division Two after a 5-1 win at home to AFC Barn.

Damian Haswell scored the consolation for The Barn.

In the clash between Red Lion and TC Building, Carr Craddock gave Lion the lead at the far post after good build up play before TC hit back to equalise through Andrew Lewin.
