All eyes are on new season for Shilton

-

WE may still be in the grip of winter, but Earl Shilton Town Cricket Club’s preparations for the new season are already gaining pace.

The club’s winter nets are in full swing on Tuesday evenings 8pm-9pm at John Cleveland College and as well as nets, individual coaching is available for adults and juniors.

New Junior and Senior players are very welcome to attend the nets.

Parents of Juniors should contact the club secretary initially by email at secretary@estcc.co.uk for more information including your contact number.

Adults can also contact the club secretary by email with a contact number for our Secretary to call back.

The club will move to outdoor training towards the end of March (weather permitting) with coaching for Juniors and Seniors at the Club’s Keats Lane ground. The new season is set to begin in April. A number of friendly games will also be arranged prior to the season commencing, where juniors and seniors will be able to play and get their skills sharpened in time for the first competitive matches.

The first competitive matches commence on Saturday April 21.

The first team will be looking to build on a strong finish to the 2017 season in the Leicestershire & Rutland Cricket League Division 1, while the 2nd XI will be looking to build momentum from staving off relegation towards the end of the 2017 season.
