Three homes in borough sold for over £1m in 2017
THREE houses in Hinckley and Bosworth sold for over £1m in 2017.
The most expensive sold £1,085,000 in June.
It was Forest House which is found in Desford, near to the Pesto restaurant and Desford Crossroads.
Overall, according to the Land Registry, 850,282 residential sales were registered in 2017, down three per cent from the 877,307 registered at this point last year for 2016.
Across England and Wales, there were 15,885 sales at £1m or more, up from 14,999 in 2016. This included 2,974 sales at £2m or more, down for from 3,039 a year before. There were 369 sales at £5m or more and 77 at £10m or more.
The most expensive property sold in 2017 was Apartment 1101 in the Knightsbridge Apartments at 199 Knightsbridge in Westminster, with the flat going for £90m in April.
The most expensive residential sale taking place in December 2017 was of a terraced property in the City of Westminster for £10,075, 000.
The cheapest residential sale in December 2017 was of a terraced property in Llanelli for £15,000.
The Land Registry lists the price paid for every property bought at market value. The data also includes sales under a power of sale/repos- sessions, buy-to-lets (where they can be identified by a Mortgage) and transfers to non-private individuals. It may take several weeks for sales to be registered after completion so some sales from the very end of the year may not be listed yet.
