KEEP up-to-date with the latest health news and have your say on services across the local area by signing up to a monthly newsletter.

Leaders at West Leicestershire CCG, the organisation which plans and pays for NHS care for Hinckley and Bosworth residents, is spreading the word on its regular communications and wants more people to get involved.

Professor Mayur Lakhani, GP and chairman of the CCG said: “As a clinician I know putting patients at the heart of everything we do, listening to and understanding their views, is the best way to plan and deliver good healthcare services.

“We’re asking anyone who is interested in shaping local services to sign up to our mailing list so we can offer them opportunities to get involved with any changes.”

People who join the mailing list will be invited to comment on services, attend co-design events and participate in consultations.

They will also receive the monthly InTouch newsletter, keeping them up-to-date with what is happening in West Leicestershire

Liz Jones, a patient rep- resentative for several years, said: “I’m passionate about making sure the patient’s voice is front and centre of everything we do. We’re looking for people from all walks of life to get involved with the work the NHS does and tell us what they think about how they should deliver services in the future. The NHS belongs to all of us, so we should all take the opportunity to have our say about what matters most to us.”
