Rebecca Pridmore won the Puddle Ducks National Teacher of the Term Award for her classes at Jurys Inn Hinckley Island hotel and at the Romans Health Spa at Sketchley Grange hotel.

Ms Pridmore has taught for Puddle Ducks since September 2014 and was nominated for her dedication, positivity and encouragement to the children she teaches.

She was voted to receive the award by the group’s customers, one of whom commented: “She is a phenomenal teacher, we’re so grateful to her for teaching our children confidence in water and life-saving skills.

“During the time Rebecca has taught my son, he has gone from being very keen, to being the most confident & enthusiastic child.”

Another said: “I cannot sing Rebecca’s praises loudly enough.”

Ms Pridmore decided to become a teacher with the group after her daughter enjoyed swimming lessons with Puddle Ducks.

She said: “I am overwhelmed to have been chosen as the National Teacher of the Term.

“I never thought I would ever be considered for the award, let alone win.

“Children are at the centre of what we do, and I want to provide a fantastic experience to suit every child’s needs.”
