Final few homes for sale at Jarvis Porter site
JUST a handful of homes remain on a near-central estate in Hinckley as construction reaches its conclusion.
Housebuilder Redrow have four properties still available for purchase on the site of the former Jarvis Porter factory on Coventry Road.
Sales have been brisk with the 100th homeowner preparing to move in and 100 completions already arranged.
Redrow was given full planning permission for the development in January 2015, after gaining outline agreement in August 2013.
As part of a deal with Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, Redrow pledged to build 16 affordable flats.
However neither the council nor the developer were able to secure a housing association to take on the apartments.
Following discussions Redrow gifted five apartments to the council and sold one to them at a discount. The remaining 10 apartments were then offered on the open market.
All the homes still available are four bedroom detached styles from the Arts and Crafts inspired Heritage Collection, including two Shrewsbury’s going for £299,995, a Cambridge at £359,995 and a Shaftesbury at £349,995. Close to Clarendon Park, the new homes at Park View are within walking distance of Hinckley town centre and the local train station, offering commuter links to Leicester, Birmingham, Coventry and, even, London.
