Town’s very own solid eggs are back in stock for Easter

-

SOLID eggs are once again back on the menu for Easter as Hinckley’s very own eggs are now on sale.

Created by Inkymole, also known as Sarah Coleman and Leigh Adams, the eggs have been a big hit all over the world in recent years and in their home town of Hinckley.

The idea started as a side project in 2012. It took just four weeks to turn the idea around and create the original solid eggs which sold out in two weeks.

Now gaining traction at an alarming rate they sell worldwide in places such as Korea, Japan, Los Angeles, New York, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, as well as all over Europe.

They are thought to be the only company making truly solid, fullsized Easter Eggs.

Inkymole’s chocolate beasts average over 2,500 calories each, weigh over 520gms/1.3lbs and come in unique, hand-finished recyclable packaging which has no plastic.

Of the five egg types made this year, three are also vegan. The flavours are milk, white, dark (v), milk praline (v) and dark praline (v).

Not for the faint hearted, these girthy creations have a loyal following from members of the #SolidarityMovement who start enquiring about the eggs months in advance.

The egss have been featured in assorted food and design blogs. They’re unique with hand-finished packaging which is re-designed every year.

As an illustrator Inkymole has worked for everyone from Richard III (creating images for the KRiii Centre in Leicester) to Malala Yousafzai and Harper Lee, Coca Cola to Tiffany Jewellers and every major publisher across the UK and USA.

This is just one of their many creative projects although though they don’t usually contain this many calories…

In Hinckley they are available from Empire Fitness, Natural Balance and Taylor’s Barbers. They are also available online at solidegg. co.uk
