Tomb is up for victimincomedy murder mystery

-

A COMEDY murder mystery called Prepare to Meet Thy Tomb is being performed in Hinckley from April 12 to 14.

This is the third play in the trilogy and it is set in the home of the deadly Tomb family, Monument House, and continues the story of the murderous Tombs.

The two remaining Tombs, Drusilla and Hecuba , while not the best of friends, are united in their desire to preserve the family secrets and to open up the house as a health farm.

They are not best pleased to find themselves beset by unwelcome guests who all appear to find themselves stranded at the remote house, so they do what the Tombs do best...make sure no one leaves.

The hapless duo find however they are not the only ones intent on bringing about the demise of the inhabitants of the ‘health farm’

With a cast of 11 there are plenty of deaths to go around as befits a tomb play, but as it is a comedy it does not always go as planned.

Who will survive until the end? You will have to come and see this fast paced comedy to find out. But never bet against a Tomb, they have survived for three plays and over 50 years.

The show is being performed by Trinity Players and the Trinity Centre in Hinckley.

The group has a few returning cast members this year.

A spokesperson said: “Sally Sissons is coming back to the stage after about six years or more helping direct the yearly panto with Andy Johnson, but still keeping an eye on him as she’s ‘the wife!’

“And both Les Cooper and Amy Tyrrell are back after a year away. They are joining the other eight cast members for this very funny black comedy.

“We managed to persuade Paul Smith who directed the previous two ‘Tombs plays’ for the group, back into the directors chair and he is being helped by Fiona Gurney who directed last years spring play.”

The performances of Prepare to Meet Thy Tomb are on Thursday 11 – Saturday 14 April at Trinity Centre Hinckley from 7.30pm.

Tickets £6 can be obtained from Lynn Bradley 01455 440954 ,email, tickets@trinityplayershinckley.co.uk or on the door on the night.
