Mum of three loses six stones

-

A MUM-OF-THREE is looking to share her fat-fighting success with others after setting up her own weight-loss group.

Natasha Brunt, aged 36 from Hinckley, dropped an impressive six stone and a staggering seven dress sizes following the Weightwatchers eating plan.

Now she is keen to help others achieve their lifestyle goals and has become a Weightwatchers class leader with new sessions held on Monday mornings at Wykin and District Social Club.

It’s not only the pound-shedding Natasha wants to highlight, it is also the health benefits which come with it.

Like many women the former healthcare support worker had gained weight during pregnancy and was struggling to shift it. However, more seriously Natasha had also developed health problems including gestational diabetes and high blood pressure.

Natasha said: “I’d just had a baby and was struggling to get around. Also the doctors told me I had to loose weight or I faced suffering with diabetes permanently.

“With all that and high blood pressure I decided to give Weightwatchers a try. I was scared walking in that door to my first group session but everyone made me feel so welcome. I went every week since joining and met many new friends who have helped me through my journey.

“I set myself small targets which made me feel it might be impossible to loose six stone but when I got to my goal weight last April it was the best feeling ever. I have passed my doctor’s health check and can run after my four-yearold as well.

“My daughter started playschool and it was so nice walking in there and not hearing “why is your mum fat” like I did when I used to take my other kids to school. I have improved my health and self confidence and I’m so much happier in myself which means the whole family is happier. I have given up my nursing job of 18 years recently to become a Weightwatchers coach myself as I want to help others on their own journeys to health and weight loss.”

Natasha’s classes run each Monday at the Frederick Avenue club starting at 9.30am. See Natasha’s Facebook page for more information.

Natasha also runs classes on a Thursday at 6pm at the Oadby Royal British Legion on Wigston Road, Oadby; the Parish Church of St Anne on Letchworth Road on Wednesday at 5.45pm and at Whitestone Community Centre on Magyar Crescent Nuneaton on Mondays at 6.30pm.
