Top brands stocked by new town shop
FITNESS fanatics will have a new store to get their sports clothes and footwear from this week.
Sneakerz Ltd, opens its doors in The Borough on Friday (March 30) offering top brands at competitive prices.
Owners Hamish and Sharon, who also run the Vintage Cheese Cart & Open Air Celebrations Co, say they will be offering a range of clothing and footwear for a range of sports from football and rugby to court games such as tennis and squash.
Hamish, 50, said: “I think the general public will be pleasantly surprised.
“We’re not a designer trainer shop, we’re a sports, fitness and clothing shop.
“We’ve got all the major brands, Adidas, Nike, Asics, Mizuno, Under Armour, Salming and Canterbury and our intention is to be competitively priced.
“We’re in a great location with good footfall and top security.
“To ensure we can offer the best prices we need to make sure we don’t have any losses to theft.”
As well as established brands, Sneakerz Ltd will also be the sole outlet in Leicestershire to stock Hazlo Clothing, the brand designed by Hinckley teenager and entrepreneur Jake Rundle.
Hamish added: “We’re right here in Hinckley so people don’t have to go all the way to Leicester any more, they can get here from Shilton and Barwell and the surrounding villages.
“If people come in for something and we don’t stock and it’s before 4pm, we’re dealing with three large wholesalers so if we can get it, we’ll have it for them the next day.”
In time Hamish and Sharon will be visiting gyms in the town let them know about the new shop and see if they can work together.
They also hope to have an event once a month at the shop for personal trainers to come and discuss how the store can provide for their needs.
Hanging tyres and shelves near the front entrance will display the latest items, and the store will have a changing room and an area with bright neon lights for customers to see what their clothes look like.
Sneakerz Ltd opens its doors at 9am.
