Town firm hopes to have a ball with dance
A FLOORING specialist from Hinckley is taking to the dance floor to support a children’s charity fundraiser.
UK Flooring Direct is based just off the A5 and is the main sponsor of Strictly Anton and Erin, where ballroom couple Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag will be strutting their stuff.
The celebrity dance duo will perform sets that fans have come to know and love from the popular TV show Strictly Come Dancing.
Organisers hope the event will raise some £20,000 to support the running of Boole House, the NSPCC’s service centre in Coventry.
UK Flooring Direct’s support will help the charity get nearer its £3 million fundraising target.
Jason Ashby, who runs the company, said: “We try to do as much as we can in the local community by giving as much time and money as we can to charities and community projects.
“My wife Lisa who also works in the business is a big fan of Strictly so she has been helping to organise the event as is really excited to see Anton and Erin in action.
“The Coventry and Warwickshire Business Board has provided some excellent support for children in and around the region.
“We sit on that board and we are delighted to support this event which will raise so much money for local children.”
Coventry and Warwickshire Business Board is staging the dance.
Les Ratcliffe, chair of the board, said: “UK Flooring Direct is an excellent example of how much support we receive from local businesses in and around the region.
“They’ve recently moved to Hinckley but they have strong connections with Coventry and Warwickshire and are very much part of the fantastic work we do as a Business Board.
“This event will definitely be an evening of entertainment and one not to be missed for Strictly fans.”
The event is on May 10 at the Double Tree by Hilton in Coventry.
