Round the rinks: Bowls results

-

TWO scores of six for a rink skpped by club president Eddie Newell helped Kingscroft’s midweek team to another big win as they maintained their unbeaten record to date in their first home game of the season when they hosted Fosseway.

The Earl Shilton club won by 46 shots with victories for all four rinks. Newell’s quartet won 34-17 which also included a four, Geoff Collett’s team had a five and four in a 22-12 success while Mick Harris’ men scored consistently throughout a 25-10 result.

Malc Bates’ rink possibly eased off too soon as they conceded a five on the last end but still won 22-18 as the visitors narrowed the final deficit.
