Bin day shuffle will see collections change

-

BIN collection days are changing for some residents in Hinckley and Bosworth borough in June.

A new schedule is to come into force to make collection rounds more efficient, which will mean a change in collection days for refuse and recycling bins for some homes.

Rounds are being redrawn to reflect new homes built around the borough since the last time they were reviewed, nine months ago.

Residents are urged to continue to place their bins out by 7am on the day of collection, which is particularly important as the time when waste is col- lected is likely to change for many areas even if the collection day stays the same.

Others will have their collections swapped around as the changeover happens, which may mean a recycling or rubbish collection for two consecutive weeks.

Extra collections are planned to minimise disruption to residents, with these cases clearly shown on the collection calendar

nce the changes are completed, the pattern will resume with all households receiving their black bin collection one week and their recycling bin the next on alternate weeks.

A new collection calendar was sent to each household in the borough in May.

However, any residents who are uncertain can use their postcode to check their bin day online.

The collection changes come into effect from Monday next week which is June 11.
