Police warning

RESIDENTS are urged to keep valuables out of sight and not to leave keys in doors by Hinckley police.

The force warned in a Facebook post that “opportunists will take advantage of your mistakes” after a night shift dealing with an attempted theft from a van in Priesthills Road and a commercial burglary at Logix Park.

Other incidents on the evening of May 31 included a drunken man found in a front garden on Radmore Road, a domestic incident and concern for an elderly woman.

Officers also dealt with a possible drink driver in Barwell, an assault in The Hollow and a man lying on a path with no shoes in Middlefield Lane.
