Family festival at canal locks

THE Foxton Locks Festival has become one of the most eagerly anticipated weekends in the calendar, thanks to its unique combination of live entertainment, toe-tapping music and delicious selection of locally sourced food and drink.

This year, thanks to the generous support of Lottery Funding, the festival will include even more events than usual, including two top flight music acts – helping to ensure that the festival offers something for everyone.

This summer sees the festival return for its ninth year and with two absolutely jam-packed days, visitors of all ages will be spoilt for choice from the moment the gates open at 10am on Saturday, June 16.

The 2018 music line up is extensive, offering more than 30 local, national and international acts.

Set against the historic backdrop of Foxton Locks, organisers anticipate record-breaking attendance. Trading boats on the canal and locks will be dressed for the occasion, creating a scenic display for passers-by and festival goers alike – definitely one for the Instagrammers! – #foxtonfestival.

Crowds can take their pick from two epic sound stages where they can enjoy a diverse range of entertainment including headliners King King, an acclaimed Glasgow Band saluted as ‘The Best BluesRock Band in the World’ and The Ruttles’.
