AA maintains 4-star rating for Sketchley Grange hotel

THE Sketchley Grange Hotel in Hinckley has maintained its position as one of the best four-star hotels in Leicestershire according to one of the country’s leading rating bodies.

With an AA score of 81 per cent, it caps off a successful year for the Sketchley Lane hotel.

Benefitting from significant investment in the last 12 months the venue has raised the bar in terms of what guests now expect from a four-star venue in the region.

Focusing on increasing the number of weddings, conferences, events and meeting general manager Paul Noble is now looking forward to the rest of 2018 and 2019.

Paul said: “We’re delighted with this new merit score and shows that the work done at the hotel has had the desired effect.

“We work hard to ensure that every single guest has an enjoyable and memorable experience with us, so it’s great news that this hard work has been recognised by one of the country’s leading rating bodies.

“I’d like to thank all the team who have worked tirelessly to make the hotel what it is.

“When visitors are looking for quality accommodation the merit rating is a great way for them to work out where to go. Having such a high merit score, sets us up well for the rest of the year.

“We will however need to up our game when it comes to maintaining what have been very positive occupancy levels. There is increasing pressure on room rates and we have to make sure we’re at the top of our game when it comes to attracting both tourists and business people.

“Fortunately, being located close to the motorway does help attract those looking for quality accommodation.

“We aim to provide a good mix of a friendly welcome with helpful and efficient service and make sure that all rooms are well decorated and furnished while our housekeeping focuses on attention to detail.

“We will now look to build upon this success to make sure we keep attracting more people to do business and enjoy their leisure time in Leicestershire.”
