Another defeat for Hinckley

HINCKLEY Town visited Loughborou­gh Town 2nds on Saturday and were easily beaten by 7 wickets.

This was their seventh defeat in a row.

Hinckley won the toss and elected to bat. From being 9 for 1 when Parmar was caught of the bowling of Wilson for 1, Hinckley were reduced to 25 for 5. Captain Sen, Valand and Pathan were all out for ducks. Only Pinto Patel troubled the scorers with 20 runs.

K Jussab and R Kelker took the score onto 56 at which point Kelker was caught off the bowling of Franklin for 9.

Leaving Hinckley on 56 for 6 this soon became 62 for 7 when they lost G Singh for 8.

There was a slight fight back with Jussab and Ravi Singh putting on 45 for the 8th wicket. But on 107 they lost Singh for 18 and Jussab for 35.

They were all out for 111 after 31.1 overs.

S Wilson and B Khunti both took three wickets for Loughborou­gh.

Loughborou­gh lost their 1st wicket with the score on 35 when Hardistry was caught off the bowling of G Singh for 15.

Goddard was run out for 4 leaving the hosts 45 for 2 which became 77 for 3 when Snelling was bowled by Parmar for 14.

Opener J Purvis and S Wilson saw Loughborou­gh home in the 30th over.

Purvis remained 56 not out and Wilson 18 not out winning by 7 wickets. Loughborou­gh gained 25 points and Hinckley 4.

Time is now running out for Hinckley - after 9 games they are 34 points from safety. Next week they host Sileby 2nds.
