Beer thrown inside car

-

A YOUNG mum was shocked to find vandals had poured beer inside her car in Earl Shilton.

Tiffany Marvesley, 21, returned to her car with her 14-month-old son, Charlie, to find someone had poured booze over the passenger-side doors as well as inside the vehicle.

She said: “I’m just in a bit of shock. It seems such a random attack.

“I just don’t get why you would pour alcohol in a car. I don’t see the fun in it really.”

The back door that was smeared with beer was right by a sunshade and booster seat for her young son.

Ms Marvesley left her car for five minutes on Wood Street with the passenger side on the kerb while she went to Yummy King Chinese takeaway, with the front windows slightly ajar as the car was very hot.

She returned to find the front and back doors dripping with beer and the front seat damp and the inside smelling “like a pub”.

She said: “I didn’t notice it to start with but then I noted the smell.

“Even after I’d attempted to clean the inside, I could still smell the alcohol.

“I don’t know many people and only my family know that that’s my car, so I don’t think it was a personal attack.”

Her black car was out of sight for the few minutes that she was in the takeaway but she is hoping that CCTV from Earl Shilton Toolbox might reveal the culprits.

Ms Marvesley said she saw a group of three people who were very rowdy walking along the street at the time.

She and her partner had a similar experience in November 2017, when a different vehicle of theirs was parked in almost the same spot on Wood Street.

The car was keyed on one day and an old nail was jabbed into one of the tyres the next day.

The latest incident took place at around 8.30pm on June 26.
