Medieval festival coming to battlefield centre
BOSWORTH Medieval Festival is to take place at the battlefield centre on August 18 and 19.
One of the highlights of the Market Bosworth calendar, the two day event on August 18 and 19 will see the re-enactment of two battles from the Wars of the Roses culminating in the Battle of Bosworth as the grand finale.
Visitors can also get a real taste of medieval England with jousting, archery, cannon fire demonstrations, living history encampments, guided tours, author talks, a medieval craft market and loads of exciting fun, hands-on games and competitions for children, as well as entry to the award-winning exhibition and free car parking.
A spokesman for the festival said: “Tickets are great value for money for a full day out. We’ve also introduced a new family of four ticket for this year, which allows entry for two adults and two children.
“There’s so much to see and do at Bosworth Medieval Festival 2018 that it’s well worth buying a weekend ticket which allows entry on both days.
“That way, you can make sure that you don’t miss out on any of the weekend’s fun and action.
“A special group rate is also available, so why not bring your local club or society?”
Tickets can be booked online at www. bosworthbattlefield.org.uk or by calling Hinckley 290429 between 10am and 5pm.
You can also buy tickets in person from Bosworth Battlefield, 1620s House and the Century Theatre.
Buy before midnight on August 17 and save 10 per cent on all ticket prices.
Please note that a £2 transaction fee is applicable for telephone sales.
