More couples than ever are deciding to renew their vows

-

A HINCKLEY hotel is enjoying a boost in trade as more and more people renew their marriage vows.

Staff at Sketchley Grange hotel have now developed a special marriage vow programme which provides doting couples a number of options for re-affirming their love.

Sophie Haddon, wedding sales manager at the venue, said: “It is defi- nitely in vogue for married couples to celebrate their wedlock by holding a ceremony like this.

“For some, it’s a chance to say how much they love each other in the company of friends or family having reached a particular milestone in their marriage such as 10, 20 or 30 years.

“For others, it might follow one of the partners recovering from an ness or change in their life.

“Another reason we hear quite often is that many brides and grooms say they were so stressed out on their actual wedding day, they never got to enjoy the whole experience.

“They then decide to renew their vows in what is a much more relaxed and stress free environment.” ill-

Ms Haddon said: “Enjoying your big day without all the madness is also a fabulous gift to give yourselves.

“Some people wear the dress they always wanted, having not been able to afford it before while many also like to renew their vows in the company of their children, which adds to the occasion.

“There are many, many reasons but one fact remains, we’re getting more and more requests to host these fabulous celebrations.

“It’s lovely to help people decide on what to do and we feel very much part of their day.”
