FROM mouth-watering burgers to spectacular cakes, wood-fired pizzas and even vegan food, this year’s Feast Festival promises to be the biggest and the best yet.

This year’s free entry foodie extravaganza, run by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, will be held in Hinckley’s Argents Mead on Saturday August 11 and Sunday August 12 from 10am5pm, and will treat food lovers to cuisines from 50 different vendors.

Guests can buy food and refreshments including crepes, hog roast, beef brisket, artisan cof- fee, Mexican cuisine, grilled meats, ribs and wings, churros, Thai, Caribbean and more.

Other stalls will include treats for dogs from Kipster’s Dog Biscuits and Oscar’s Pet Food, as well as fresh fish to cook from home by Nick the Fish.

The town’s very own food festival has gone from strength to strength since it first launched a few years ago, and this year will also see a variety of seating available, as well as four live bands, Fosse 107 and a 120ft inflatable assault course, sponsored by Hinckley BID and at just 50p per go!

There will also be bungee trampolines, Britain’s Got Talent star Hoop Guy, local professional story teller Tom the Tale Teller (on Sunday), face painting and more.

There will also be a free park and ride service, running between the Triumph motorcycle factory and Argents Mead on the Saturday 11th, while parking is free in all council town centre car parks on Sundays.

The park and ride will run on Saturday from 9.45am-5.15pm (last bus), shuttling people between Triumph Motorcycles on Normandy Way and the town centre. Buses by Arriva will run every 15 minutes for the short journey.

Councillor Maureen Cook, executive members responsible for culture, sport and leisure at Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages to participate in the events on 11 and 12 August and is well worth a visit.

Argents Mead will be absolutely buzzing the whole weekend with children’s entertainment, live music and food and drink vendors, including some very unusual and original exhibitors.”
