Heart of Hinckley Beer Festival

-

DESPITE Hinckley CAMRA’s real ale festival not taking place this year, the town is still set to have a weekend dedicated to beer.

The usual celebration of local and national ales normally sees locals enjoy a variety of beers in one venue.

However, as no suitable premises were available to host the event, Adam Crump took it upon himself to ensure the festival returned.

Adam, who is landlord of The Railway Steamin Billy, decided that he would enlist the help of local real ale pubs to help him put on the event, which would this year see visitors enjoying a selection of beers across five different venues.

After suggesting his idea to several businesses, Adam eventually got the thumbs up and started planning the event and the Heart of Hinckley Beer Festival has been born.

Five micro-pubs and pubs across Hinckley will take part in the beer festival, where more than 75 ales will be available to try.

The Elbow room, The Pestle and Mortar, The New Plough, The Grey- hound and Adam’s own Railway Steamin Billy, will this year collectively hold the festival, offering a range of ales brewed exclusively here in Hinckley, from the north and surrounding areas.

As before, the festival will take place for three days, starting on Thursday September 13 to Saturday September 15.

Anyone is welcome to join the event for those , 18 years and over, for fun, taste-testing and laughter.

For more details of the beers on offer, see the Hinckley and Bosworth CAMRA website.
