Christmas cards go on sale at church

-

FESTIVE shoppers can stock up on Christmas cards while giving to a good cause.

St Mary’s Church in Hinckley is again hosting the sale of charity Christmas cards and goods through Cards for Good Causes.

Among the charities the card sales will support are Rainbows Hospice, Cancer Research, Age UK and the British Red Cross.

A spokesperson for the church said: “Buying charity Christmas cards is an easy way to support the charity you care about.

“By choosing charity Christmas cards you are giving twice – sending a thoughtful message to your friends and family and also supporting a worthwhile cause.

“We look forward to seeing old and new customers at St Mary’s during the next few weeks.”

Wrapping paper, ribbons and scented candles are also on sale.

Cards for Good Causes runs the UK’s largest network of charity Christmas card shops.

More than 6,000 volunteers run its shops and it has raised over £40 million for good causes over the past ten years.

Visitors and regular worshippers at St Mary’s can be assured of a warm welcome as the community recently replaced the boiler in the main church as well as the one in the coffee bar.

The shop within the Church is open Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 4pm.

Trading will continue to every day until December 8.
