New funeral service opens in village

DOZENS of guests turned out to see the grand opening of a new funeral home in Burbage by Central England Cooperativ­e.

Staff at the Burbage Funeral Home, in Church Street, hosted an open day and a special dedication ceremony at the site, joined by Funeral director Andy Eeley and his team as well as local clergy, councillor­s and members of the public.

To mark the opening of the new home, the event featured a service followed by a guided tour of the premises for all attendees, with refreshmen­ts available too.

Funeral director, Andy Eeley said: “Our first priority is to enhance memories and love for all of our families and we are very pleased to offer that at Burbage Funeral Home.

“We feel it reflects our commitment to providing excellent standards of care for our families during their time of bereavemen­t.

“Our guests had a tour of the funeral home and saw the range of options we offer which allow fami- lies to arrange a funeral reflecting the life and interests of their loved one.”

The Central England Co-operative Funeral care Burbage offers a 24-hour service, seven days a week.

In addition to arranging funerals, Andy and his team are also available to offer advice on floral trib- utes, monumental masonry, funeral stationery, prepaid funeral plans and probate advice.
