‘Best of British’ theme for fireworks spectacular

-

DRAYTON Manor Park will be turning the sky red, white and blue during its Fireworks Spectacular this year with a ‘Best of British’ theme.

The family owned and run theme park, located near Tamworth in Staffordshire, is preparing to end its main season with the eagerly-anticipated annual fireworks event, which will be taking place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 2-4. The incredible fireworks display, which lasts for twenty minutes, will be perfectly timed to a toe-tapping, patriotic soundtrack including The Beatles, Oasis, Take That, Spice Girls and more. It will be a truly remarkable celebration of everything British, marking an iconic year where we have welcomed a new Prince, witnessed a Royal Wedding and celebrated the 65th anniversary of the Queen’s Coronation.

Many rides will remain open until 9pm so guests can continue to experience adrenaline-pumping thrill rides into the night including Accelerator, the action-packed rollercoaster adventure, and 54-metre drop tower ride, Apocalypse.

There’s also Europe’s only Thomas Land, which marks its 10th anniversary this year, where there are more than 25 rides and attractions to discover before heading to the main Fireworks Spectacular event. At Thomas Land, your little engine can enjoy favourites such as Flynn’s Fire Rescue, Rockin’ Bulstrode, Cranky Crane and James and the Red Balloon.

George Bryan, company director at Drayton Manor Park, said: “We look forward to working with the award-winning Fantastic Fireworks each year to create a truly memorable Fireworks Spectacular for our visitors. Our fireworks event is one of the biggest displays in the Midlands and we can’t wait for families to experience our ‘Best of British’ theme, which will be visually stunning and accompanied by some instantly recognisable music.”
