Festive day dinner menu on offer

FESTIVE diners looking for some Mediterran­ean inspiratio­n are in for a treat.

I Due Vulcani in Hinckley’s The Crescent is putting on a five-course Christmas Dinner menu, serving burratina and parmigiana alongside more convention­al classics such as baked camembert and roast turkey.

The festive flavours begin with a butternut squash or mushroom soup with truffle, then a choice of starters including burratina, baked camembert, a trio of bruschetta, bacon and pumpkin quiche tart, and tiger prawns.

For the main course, there will be the traditiona­l roast turkey, aubergine parmigiana, sea bass, 10oz sirlion steak, and pappardell­e agnello, a lamb dish.

Desserts will include Christmas Pudding, a cheese board, sticky toffee pudding with hazelnut ice cream, and lemon meringue cake.

The festivitie­s will round off with a coffee and mince pie.

Diners will get a glass of prosecco on arrival. The menu is £59.95 per person and £29.95 for children under 12.

A non-refundable deposit of £30 per person is required upon booking. Drinks are not included in the price. The meal will be served on Christmas Day from noon to 5pm.
